Super Mario Odyssey

It's been a while since I've done a video game review, but I've been having a blast since I purchased the Switch. One game I would highly recommend purchasing is the highly acclaimed Super Mario Odyssey (which is really the only reason I was convinced to buy a Switch in the first place).

The gameplay is extraodinary! It reminds me of the good days of Super Mario 64 except in this game, you can control random creatures with your new cap friend "Cappy". From there, you'll explore new kingdoms and find the moons need to power up your ship, The Odyssey, in order to explore worlds and stop a Bowser wedding to Princess Peach.

The best part about the game is that there is finally customization! You can wear different outfits, caps, and what not and explore different worlds like Metro Kingdom, Cascade Kingdom and even Luncheon Kingdom.

The best part about this is the tasks that you'll face going into the game. It's not something you can just play in one run. You'll definitely have to go back and do some exploring in order to find hidden treasures, power moons, and beat secret challenges.

Once you see what you're in for, it's too hard to put the controller down and stop.

Even the boss battles are some of the most innovative creations that I've ever encountered in any Mario game. As you go throughout each kingdom, each boss offers a unique challenge... but it is not impossible to beat by any stretch.

In my opinion, it is definitely one of the best games of the year! If you're thinking about purchasing a Switch, this would be my suggestion.
